These people don't care about you or your animals. They "severed ties" with me and my dog during a very crital time of care after just finding out my 9 year old dog Marley has diabetes, still needed a blood test, and still figuring out how much insulin he needed via the blood test.
The night I had to take Marley to the vet due to his symptoms, Menifee Animal Hospital was already closed for the night so I had to take him to Lake Elsinore Animal Hospital, he was diagnose with diabetes and I had those records sent to MAH and continued care with them. On 3/7/18 I called in to get Marley's tramadol refilled and was told by Cara they couldn't fill it because they see that I've been getting it filled at multiple locations. Not true, which was verified by Lake Elsinore Animal Hospital when I called to ask them if they've seen any suspicious activity. Cara told me she'd call me back Monday (3/5/18) when their drug person or whatever was there so she could ask them.
After not hearing from her on Monday, I called them in the afternoon and was told Cara doesn't even work Mondays and they don't know why she said she'd call me monday and I was also told they couldn't help me with the Tramadol issue even though their drug person was there. I didn't get a call from Cara Tuesday so decided to call her Wednesday and find out what was going on. She then proceded to tell me, very rudely, that Marley is no longer a patient because i argue with the treatment options Dr. Robinson gives (because I decided to go with the cheaper, safer blood test for my dog?
Safer because Marley has super high anxiety and I didn't think it a good idea for him to be in a cage being poked at every 2 hours) and have been taking Marley to another vet (also not true). I kept asking to speak to Dr. Robinson but Cara wouldn't let me, claiming the vet doesn't handle these situations and she was already relaying the message from Dr. Robinson to sever ties.
I called back a few minutes later and got a supervisor and asked her to speak to a manager only to find out Cara IS the manager so i declined to talk to her and asked to leave a message for Dr. Robinson and told her why. She then told me she was some sort of supervisor and would ask Cara what's going on and get permission to tell me what the problem was exactly and would call me back. Well, I'm happy to say that when she did call me back I recorded the conversation.
I never got a straight answer as to why Marley was being dropped as a patient during such a crital time of care. Just the run around about taking him to another vet, not agreeing with their recommendations (but they wouldn't tell me what i disagreed with or when), that there's been issues in the past (wouldn't specify), wouldn't let me talk to or leave a message for Dr. Robinson. I'll be filing a complaint with the Veterinary Medical Board and Better Business Bureau because this is definitely bad business.
I'm also going to do everyone reading this a favor by telling you I got a professional warning about Menifee Animal Hospital from Marley's new vet about all the horror stories they've heard first hand from a previous employee. One of them includes a cat with a broken leg who they let suffer for days because they didn't want to release the cat's xrays to another cheaper vet who could perform the necessary procedure on the cat's leg for a better price.
One of the owners of MAH finally released them after being yelled at by the manager of Marley's new vet. Don't waste your time with these money hungry scammers.
